The Hawaiian word waiwai denotes something valued or treasured, true wealth. This program explores the concepts of 'ohana (family), ho'okipa (hospitality), and po'okela (excellence). The importance of developing powers of observation and awareness of the world around us is also discussed. Featuring Lani Kapuni, Lilia Hale, Violet Hughes, Marie McDonald, John Dominis Holt, Harry Mitchell, Kekuni Blaisdell, Nainoa Thompson, Mike Kahikina, Clyde Aikau and Ipo Nihipali.

Originally produced for the school children of Hawai'i.
